Practical Aspects of Plagiarism
Abstract
First, Dalia will present definition(s) of plagiarism. Then we will try to make a list of “DOs” and “DON'Ts”.
Later, we will analyze cases which might be plagiarism, including, but not limited to these questions:
- when you write a paper, should you cite your technical report?
- when you write a paper based on your deliverable in the EU project, should you cite that deliverable?
- when you write a journal paper, how much “new” material it should contain? New experiments? New methods? Only extended presentation of conference paper?
- other issues?
